the MOA entered into by the GRP and MILF is/was supposed to bring "peace" in Mindanao. what these parties failed to consider was that, there was peace in Mindanao, relatively. granted there are bomb threats and there are some bombs which really went off, but that does not exactly mean that Mindanao is not at and in peace.
i wonder how they conceived the idea of a BJE at a most opportune time (i.e., 2 years before the present government's term expires). could it be politically-motivated interests, i could daresay, of course. how else will you concoct a MOA overnight and present it a band-aid solution to the Bangsamoro crisis which has existed for decades?
according to a professor, the MOA is the biggest piece of legal joke he has ever come upon. sadly, that MOA, even if it is a big legal joke, it is killing people here in Mindanao.
the proponents of this MOA deign to speak of "peace." how dare they?! i cannot imagine how they remain staunch advocates thereof and how they can still live with themselves seeing and knowing that people have died and are dying here all because of that MOA. but how can they not, they are not at the forefront of it all? (buti na lang may mga sundalo pang handang sundin ang utos ng mga nakataas sa kanila even at their expense. nakakaawa ang mga sundalo, they are made puppets of a heartless government. true, they are fed by the government, but that is not a license for a government to use these soldiers like pawns in a chessboard).
more importantly, the declaration of the O.P. that it intends to pursue chacha is a clear indication of why the MOA came about.
hay.. if PGMA could only be content. her allies are saying she has no intention of staying in power once the Constitution is changed. but that is just INCREDIBLE. didn't she say back in last presidential elections that she will not run? and she did the exact opposite of what she said. she ran and won, (i don't know how she won) and is now hoping to again perpetuate her stay in the palace.
sayang. matalino sana sya, just like Marcos but her greed will have its comeuppance. i just hope and pray that the Filipinos are not too hungry nor too tired to take to oust a president who, in the first place is of questionable legitimacy.
in commemoration of Ninoy's death, i just hope that that death will again serve as a wick for overthrowing another despotic megalomaniac. (talk about history repeating itself)
