nostalgia

memories of my college life just spread like wildfire when i happened to come across UPB's site and more than this site, that of the sayote republic. hehe, it has a nice ring to it, not to mention apt considering that in baguio, sayotes are a dime a dozen and can be mistaken for weeds because they grow just about everywhere.

if this summer of 2008 will prove to be a no-hitch for me, then i could probably go and visit baguio. it has been so long since i have laid my eyes on oble. i miss most the cool climate, the laidback lifestyle, the easy conversations with friends, archery (though it is sad that they have erected a building on the range =( now i wonder where the games will be held) and most of all, the academe's most renowned educators and mentors.

UPB, indeed you are a sanctuary. many have come, even from the southern parts of the archipelago just to be enamored by your charm. there is something in you which makes all of your graduates truly proud to have come from you. *sigh* i miss UPB and baguio city.
