counting the days till i turn a year older

birthdays...

adding another year to life...

it's always a pressure knowing that people make expectations out of you when you finally turn a year older. like you have to have this sort of accomplishments, achieve this sort of goals and be really "successful."

for crying out loud, find some other person to pressure. haha.

but like i always tell myself, i have three options: one is to give in another is to fight it and the last (my personal choice) is to simply ignore it. after all, nobody has the right to make impositions upon you, unless you want them to.

oh well, i welcome the added year with a delight knowing that i have had my fair share of blessings and a good deal of tribulations which sent me on the verge of breaking down, but i never knew that i had the strength to even stomach some of it. hay.. sometimes, i think out of sheer exhaustion, it is just so easy to let it go and let it be knowing that karmic forces are at work and that karma will ultimately catch up with them.

hm, wishes..

i only wish that i could keep my family intact and rid us all of the "emotional baggage" which had been weighing most of us down. i also wish for everybody's good health, because one will never be able to appreciate one's health until it's lost. i also ask for a stronger US, mainly because, according to a friend "times are bound to be harder [to what extent, i will never really know until i get there with him]."
