a natural high

early this morning, i and three other classmates jogged the route for the conflict's fun run next week. the route is approximately four kilometers. as i have expected and anticipated, i ran out of breath and went panting just a few meters from where we started. i cannot blame my body. the last time i really did something which can qualify as "training" is back in college when i used to play archery for the varsity. although last year, we also did test jogs three or two weeks prior to the conflicts.

anyhow, i did not do so bad. i was even happy that, 22 minutes later, i was at the finish line. really, not bad for my first jog without training. but nothing beats the natural high that one gets when the wind caresses the cheeks and the heart races as the heart rate goes up (not to mention the nostrils flaring from trying to allow so much air).

but the real bonus came when we were going home and it was daybreak. the moon was still up in the sky, looking so lovely in its rounded glory. it reminded me of my days in Baguio with friends when we would just lie content and gaze at the heavens.

what a beautiful morning! and i think it is really time for me to walk up to the Father again and ask him his thoughts.
