so long Dean

the dean just passed away last week after a 70-day confinement in the hospital. it was in part a relief and partly unfortunate. relief, because finally, he would be freed from the physical anguish that he had sustained for some time already. unfortunate, because it is an undisputable fact that dean is among the experts in remedial law and that he was the dean who had ateneo law school here in davao figure into the top ten law schools in the philippines as well as placing it first among the law schools outside of metro manila. credit for the dedication he had in his work is overly understated. and so, in this little space in the net, i take the chance to give dean the full credit due him for the time he spent as a mentor of aspiring lawyers, as a practitioner of the law, as dean of the college of law and most of all, for the knowledge and the confidence you have imparted on all your students.

for all the efforts that you have exerted just so our law school will have a niche in the field of law, we commend and thank you.

for now, you deserve the repose that you so badly need. safe sailing dean into the afterlife.

we will miss you but we will never ever forget you.
