just a thought

when i try to look back at the events which transpired since the onset of classes for the first semester, i have come to the conclusion that really, intelligence is not an excuse nor a license for treating people around with condescension. it is just not right!

i wonder why there are people who act like this. so, over time, i tried to come up with several theories which would explain why some people behave the way they do:

1. it might be a result of the fact that they have had a dark childhood. the trauma was just too much for their young minds to bear and it is just now that they finally are able to vent out their most bottled up emotions.

2. it might be that they are insecure as to other aspects of their life and just focus on getting better at what they do best. this is so that they could displace their inseucrities way below their achievements.

3. it might also be that these people have nothing better to do with their lives but to mind the business of others as if it were their own. they just simply revel in seeing other people succumb to their "intellectual authority."

4. it might be that they are in denial of the fact that they are emotionally-imbalanced and simply cannot live with themselves because of all their hang ups in life. such hang ups incapacitates them and virtually impairs all of their emotional sensors.

well, these are just some thoughts. i wonder if one of them could be applied to one of the personalities in the class.

as a parting shot, "EQ is indeed better than IQ."
