since i am not at home these past few days, i've decided to borrow some books from my sister. this one is on her shelf. the book is a collection of short stories (i'm sure i can't handle a full length novel these days since i'm vacillating between babysiting, organizing the sister's house and thinking about the impending release of the results).
i have never read Gaiman before, but not because of lack of interest. i have already heard of his comics (The Sandman) but i wasn't quite sure he'd be as entertaining as an author, plus, i couldn't get ahold of his books back in davao. i'm still in the first few pages of the book. i want to read on and find out if it is any good.

I bet you will like Neil Gaiman's works :) I read some of his books (Smokes & Mirrors, Anansi Boys, Coraline)and they are really good. I love that he can twist stories (like, Snow White is the evil princess and her stepmother is the kindhearted one)and let your mind picture what is written in his book. Some of his works that are meant for children are 'too dark' though for a 5 year old to understand.
then, i'll be looking forward to reading more of his works. i've heard from friends that he loves the Philippines and has been here a few times already.
yes he loves Philippines especially calamansi juice :) (ok enough, i look like a fan-tard) and he's coming here on the 18th of this month to have a book signing sorta thing and that's why his books are on 30% off in some bookstores until the 18th :)
yey, thanks for the tip :)
