in transitu

this week marks the onset of finals week (even if we don't really have a finals week, but an exam scheduled days apart from one another to enable us to prepare well for the next exam and rest in between exams). this means that we have no more classes (save for this one subject). for the first time in the whole 20 years i've spent in school, i am terrified at the thought of being on the brink of graduation.

in this career path, the trip is quite long with several qualifying stopping places. in a matter of days, we'll be taking exams for the different subjects (to date, there are 5 more exams to take). in order to graduate, we have to pass all the subjects.

it will be a matter of weeks before we will finally know who will graduate and continue on the way to the bar exams and who won't.

come graduation day, it will be a matter of months before the bar exams. in between the end of the fourth sunday and the coming out of the results, there are give or take six months within which to unwind, to brood, to plan, to work - in short, time in one's hands enough to drive one mad (God forbid). :)

when the results are finally out, we will know who'd be entitled to prefix his/her name with the title "Atty." Although there is still the oath-taking, this is just to formalize one's admission to the bar, but failure to take the oath also has its consequences.

transitions are tough.. and i can only pray to God that everyone in the batch will not succumb to the pressures from within and without.

May the force be with us!!
