happy birthday "the IV"

Yo turned 5 on the 27th of march but they celebrated the birthday on the 25th. this is because, his grandpa (my father) flew to manila on the day of his birthday.

although i wasn't at the party, i've been told that my nephew had a blast. he personally invited his guests. the party was really a children's party complete with all the games, kiddie food as well as birthday cake.

i am content though in spending a part of 27th with the birthday boy. he was here because he also went to see tatay to the airport. he would of course insist that his birthday was on the 25th, we told him that his real birthday was on the 27th and the celebration on the 25th was just an advanced celebration so that tatay can be there.

Yo's greatest gift would have to be his improving health condition. bouts of fever are far lesser. he's still on the meds though. next would have to be their HK trip come summer with my sister (i don't know how he charmed my sister whom we all know holds her money tight, hehe).

my wishes for the birthday boy would be that he continues to show an improvement in his health, that his studies will no longer be interrupted by illnesses (and by his grandfolks' tolerance that every time they go places, they would tag Yo along, hehe), that he grows up to be a good kid who's predispositions are geared towards improving himself and helping others in ways he can and that he be granted the desires of his heart.

dear Lord, please watch over and keep an eye on this handful boy (not anymore a baby!) for he has tendencies which must be curtailed but that we have a hard time doing so considering that he had just experienced a life-threatening disease. so Lord, i pray that You also curb the people around him from giving in to him too much (especially in doling out sweets which is a no-no since he is at all costs not to have tonsilitis because tonsilitis could lead to rheumatic fever and eventually to rheumatic heart disease).

we thank You Lord for the blessings You have bestowed upon yo, may You continue to bless him and keep him. this we ask, amen.
