a stolen minute

i am taking some time off to scribble some quick notes about the week that has been.

the enrollment process has gone from bad to terrible. imagine queueing for the cashier and your priority number is like 600++. WOW! why can't the school separate the queue for undergrad students and for law students? is that too much to ask?

more than this, before the classcards are released, a picture-taking is necessary for record purposes. yeah right!

another crazy thing about law school is the prov rem paper. everybody was of the mistaken belief that the deadline for the paper is on the 16th of november. we were aghast to know in an email circulated in the manresa yahoo groups that our teacher will only accept papers turned in today. beyond that, the grades will be computed based solely on the lone exam that we had early in the first semester.

if that is not enough, i have an exam in succession tomorrow. i have been studying for that before i learned of the changes in the due date of the prov rem paper. but now that i have finished my paper, i cannot seem to pick up from where i left off in my study of the law on succession.

law school aside, it has been more than a week since i last stepped inside the law office where i work. i am just lucky that the people there afford me with so much leeway when it comes to law school.

well, one last thing. my family had quite a scare last tuesday when my nephew's pediatrician broke the news that my nephew's arteries have dilated some more instead of becoming smaller. according to him, the apparent cause is that, the meds (aspirin) have not been administered round the clock. instead of giving the meds to my nephew 4 times in a day, my overly irresponsible brother and sister-in-law would only administer the meds 3 times in a day. what a relief it was when the following day, the doctor informed us that he was mistaken. he even went to the extent of consulting with a cardiologist who said that the dilated arteries have grown considerably small, so small that the meds need not be administered 4 times a day but once a day would suffice. two weeks from now, my nephew will be back at the hospital so that more tests could be run on him to ensure that he is well. hay..

well, what a week! welcome to my life!
